ForTheMen, Would You Wear It? »
I have to admit that upon learning that Juicy made a collection for men, I giggled a little. However, with further investigation I realized that this was a highly legitimate line - an extension of allegedly high fashioned goods for the opposite gender the brand is usually identified with.
Whatever happened to Juicy? Famed for their atrociously overpriced velour tracksuits (which reminded me only of ghetto fabulous rap videos), and mismatched colour bags, Juicy in my eyes has only experienced a downturn. After the introduction of nylon-esque tracksuits in 2006 (which …

Warm and Snuggly like your beloved stuffed animal. Touques are a Canadian tradition which captured the hearts of beaver-lovers across the nation. These minimalistic-structured head ornaments are mass market fiends, found in the local dollar store, or priced at a ghastly $40.00+ in the form of Phat Farm or something equally urban.
The tradition is still long withstanding - with this accessory so heavily entrenched in our culture, there is no escaping it. The question is - is it a dollar store purchase or a higher-end retail good?

No teenage angst here, instead we have a denim brand that has entered the market and made huge waves. Why is it exactly that we love these jeans so much? It’s not just in the gimmick of the name, but rather the quality, fit, and personality that the brand presents.
In their words:
Acne Jeans unites innovative jeans styles with a versatile wardrobe for men and women, ranging from basic cotton T-shirts, to tailored jackets to luxurious accessories and shoes. While every collection forms a concept, each piece can be worn …

It saddens me to see people lining up at 5am outside a FutureShop or Best Buy on Boxing Day. I’ve taken notice of the fact that sales actually begin BEFORE Christmas, and not only that, but they always seem to be better on Christmas Eve than Boxing Day itself. Studies actually show this year that people are less likely to venture out for Boxing Day than ever before (clickety).
Why isn’t it worth it anymore? Retailers tend to bring all of those items that were unable to sell a year before …

Feet First seems like the nerdiest brand alive. How simple can the concept really get? After strolling in one day, I ended up purchasing a pair of heels that were high quality, great fit - and yes, my feet really were comfortable.
The premise of this store seems so simple, yet it doesn’t seem to garner much interest from especially the youth demographic. Sure they don’t seem to sell Uggs or Vans, but they have a collection likened to Nine West, and they carry Steven Madden and other prominent shoe …

Well, they always were, but now they’re popular enough to be worn around your neck, placed on clutches and purses. What is it about these animals that make us so wear-happy?
Is it a) A sign of power b) So outrageous that people will take notice or c) Just plain cute ?
Whatever it is, it’s popping up in retailers everywhere with wide acceptance. Is this something worth jumping the gun for?

WESC is a fantastic urban streetwear-esque brand that I discovered a year ago. With awe-inspiring shapes and unique styling, I definitely think that this is an emerging brand to keep an eye on.
A quick rundown:
WeSC is a street fashion brand for intellectual slackers. WeAretheSuperlativeConspiracy symbolizes what WeSC as a company represents; a group, a family of good and competent people working towards the same ideal and goals.
WeSC is not merely a brand in the fashion industry, but rather a company within the skateboard culture. We create “street fashion”, clothing with …
