Part African, part Korean model, Chanel Iman is popping up on runways and magazines (see the latest Teen Vogue) all over the place. With a super sweet face that can quickly assume a relaxed smile or a serious pout, young Chanel seems to effortlessly pull off commercial and high fashion looks.

Originally introduced by Prada last year, the “footless sock” has hit mainstream via American Apparel. For only $12, you can enjoy a variety of three-toned, knee-high pairs. Personally, although I find them kind of adorable, even without having tried them on, I can tell that their wearer will have to choose her shoes carefully.
And now the real question - would you wear them?

Kensington Market is one my favourite spots in Toronto to peruse on a Saturday afternoon. Upon one of these treks, I came across the owner of “The Rage”, Sarah Campbell, and saw this as a great opportunity to let her spill her take on fashion.

The School Fashion Show is always reason to showcase your strange ideas. Donned in newspaper wear (ties, belts, purses, skirts, dresses, and bracelets), the Schulich School of Business Newspaper embraced the Kensington Market atmosphere with our wears. The boob flowers were a hit, the ties were admired we all had a dirty-fingerprint-ful good time.
What do you guys think? (PS - You should know which one I am!)

In its attempt to better “connect with its Canadian customers” (according to Marketing Magazine), French Connection recently launched a new in-store music initiative. Four Canadian indie bands (Magneta Lane, The Coast, Oil Can Boyd and Everlea — nope, haven’t heard of any) will be played on repeat at five Toronto branches for the next two months. For anyone who has been in French Connection, most of you know that it takes a very distinctive personality to pull off the majority of their clothes (ignoring the irritating FCUK line of course). …

I’ve been addicted to vintage lately. Starting from my recent Calvin Klein Cropped Trench-style Jacket (let’s make its own category). I’ve started to pay more attention to the vintage presence online, and it’s become such a hot commodity that start-up companies are making a small fortune off of vintage finds.
Vintage Laundry is Chinese Laundry’s cousin - a website that offers funky shoes from various time eras, which I’m not sure anyone will wear. I can’t decide if the photo above is off-the-charts trendy or grotesquely unwearable.

Freshness from Los Angeles - Fresh Karma is a line created from reconstructed pieces, reflecting their mantra of “respect, recycling, and good karma”. Their pieces are all one-of-a-kind pieces, sold in retailers around the world. Gaining huge celebrity support, the Fresh Karma line has been seen on Lindsay Lohan, Rihanna, Paris Hilton, and numerous other obscure Hollywood loiterers.
There seems to be an emerging rage in L.A. over hoodies that look heavily used and abused. Must be their representation of the global ‘Green’ trend. It’s also a little strange how their …

I love Natasha Khan’s style - it seems to be a mix of eighties-exotic, a dash of spiritual, and the sass of Brit-Victorian. It’s so eclectic and elaborate, not to mention that I love the eerie music that Bat for Lashes produces. Raised in Pakistan and England Khan mixes and mingles style in her music and wardrobe selections.

Wayfarer Ray Bans are a staple in Mary Kate Olsen’s accessories. I adore these horn-rimmed old school style sunglasses because they can change an outfit so dramatically, and let’s face it - they’re just fun to look at.
C’mon - Horn-rimmed is the new Aviator.
