Yes, I stepped into Coach and walked out with something (screams and squeals) – but not only did I finally manage to purchase something from there, but I had a key learning from today. Did anyone know where these “Coach Beauty” products sprung up from? A collection complete with purse spray, lip glosses, solid perfume, lotion, and shimmer powder, Coach has found a new way to extend its brand into the lives of young women.

Listening to this stuff makes me so nostalgic, I remember hopping on a bus at 6am to make it to the morning shift, playing their tracks at the crack of dawn. Tell me how it is if you go!

I hope you’ve all realized by now that I love writing, despite being fairly rusty at the creative (hey, four years in business school doesn’t give allowance to fashion-inclined writing nor anything remotely flowery). In order to sharpen the descriptors up and to break out the literary devices, I’ve started to make an attempt to get my writing out there. ION Magazine is one of these outlets, and I wrote about the up and coming MOD trend for the July issue.

I’m starting to develop a random inclination towards watching The Fit on MySpace – it’s great fun seeing celebrities dig up incredible finds in vintage shops (go vintage!) Watch Katy Perry (my newfound music love, that I affectionately dub my “lesbian music” – Re: I Kissed a Girl) shop at some great L.A. stores (such as PopKiller, Shareen Vintage, and Coquette). The 80′s is calling, and they want their trends back (could I have come up with a more generic line? Probably not). Regardless, another trend has resurfaced from our beloved past decades, this one being the acid wash jean. For those who still think it’s a bad idea, well, this trend is probably too daring for you. Not only is the wash of the jean an upcoming trend, but the fit is tight, low, and slim – an extremely hard combination to pull off.
