If you were like me and wondering what the Toronto Eaton Centre was doing getting another Aritzia (almost directly below the original one) – I have answers for you.
Turns out that the store is actually going to be a TNA Flagship store (the first on the East Coast)! TNA has been a longstanding favourite for young and active ladies…and well, young and active men too (don’t lie – you know you adore the TNA supplex pants guys). In between Abercrombie (well, that’s a second one) and the Sony Store, it boasts a cabin-like cozy environment and 2,700 sqft of TNA-ness. TNA likes Toronto – and many times vice versa.
So if you’re still scrambling to find that XS TNA black parka, you might end up scoring one from the opening of this new store
Check the website (I promise it’s nothing awful) – www.tna.com.
I came across these lovely ladies when I was perusing The Clothing Show awhile back (yikes, a week before THE PEEK occurred actually). Las Valentias is the creation of Erin Keatch and Tara Kelly, their line being a product of Toronto Fashion [talent] that’s classic with a dash of funk and unexpected. Their skirts have unique shapes, their pieces are rendered from outstanding fabrics, and the styling is impeccable. Check out the q&a with them after the jump (yes, read read read on)
It’s been a long time coming – but here I am introducing to you all my pal Justin Wu, Fashion Photographer. Geared and raring to break into the Toronto Fashion Scene as well as Fashion at an international level, JWu has garnered some impressive buzz with his work.
Take it from him:
I’m a fine-art photographer seeking greater representation & exposure with experience in photojournalism, editorial, and commercial work. I’ve been fortunate to have my work published, award-winning, and gallery exhibited over the past few years.
Currently, I’m looking to pursue a career in fashion photography or entering the fashion industry leveraging my business background.
I presently reside in Toronto, but stay in London, Ontario as a senior at the Richard Ivey School of Business with a Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University. During the spring term in 2009 (Jan-June), I will be studying at HEC Paris and hope to expand my photographic horizons during my stay.
Check out his work below, as well as his official website.
What’s funny is that we’re both B-Schoolers and somehow we managed to live 30 seconds away from one another. Small word hmm?
