Rei Kawakubo’s avant-garde collection for H&M was a stellar hit for the company, but if you’ve grown tired of the bland colours get ready for some sweet vengeance! A colourful universe is within our reach in the coming months, courtesy of the Swedish fashion empire, H&M, and hip London designer, Matthew Williamson.
Matthew Williamson is set to release a 20-piece capsule women’s range to be unveiled at 200 stores on April 23. And if you have a modish boyfriend, husband, man-friend, and brother who would die to get their hands on these pieces, tell them to hang on tight! There will be a 30-to-40 piece apparel line out in mid-May at all H&M stores that will certainly keep them on the best-dressed list.
I’m personally ready to venture into Williamson’s colourful and ‘print-crazy’ feel-good dresses. So if you’re with me, go ahead and conjure up your action plan to get your mitts on these fabulous-yet-accessible designer clothes!

I’m completely in love with these things – I adore the classic Ray Ban Wayfarer, but to know that they’ve done another variation on it makes me absolutely giddy. They’re complete hotness for lack of better terminology.
Perfect for Spring/Summer, I first encountered these pups when perusing through the shopbop lookbook (as always, I adore the photography and styling, definitely my #1 go-to). At a measly $139.00 (US I believe. Heh), these shades are my primary covet for oh, say the next few weeks.
Must!

You know their infectious music and you know their infectious behaviour (well, at least I think I do). I absolutely ADORE the ORACULAR SPECTACULAR CD from the Brooklyn fiends.
I know you love it too.
So at long last I bring to you the MGMT KIDS Contest, here’s all you have to do to win a

Chris Brett is a fantabulous artist – I can testify because he was part of THE PEEK (yeah, remember that awesometown event in October? PS – Look out for the next). This was passed along from Chris de mindzai.com, and I’m all about promoting the Toronto Talent.
Year of the OX Tshirt – it comes in sizing for duders and gals. It’s on preshrunk cotton lalala-blahblah-it’s just cool. Get one on zazzle directly HERE.
For those who aren’t on par with the asiantown side of me, know that tomorrow is Chinese New Years and Gong Hay Fat Choi etc. So do it up okay? DO IT.
I don’t think there’s anything that makes me happier than brands spelled out in capital letters – MINK PINK is a brand that I came across when part timing and I’ve been obsessed down to the design of their website.
There’s always something distinct that I look for in a brand – and it’s that earthy yet overtly stylish aesthetic that only certain labels can pull off. MINK PINK is one such label. Oh, and I can never say no to anyone that embraces the wayfarer movement – it’s just too good.
Branching out from Austrialia and New Zealand (these guys always know how to do it right), they are inspired by high fashion, vintage, street styling, and current trends. And what do critics have to say?
“MINKPINK makes me want to jump for joy… It’s absolutely dead on”
Mehmet Tangoran – Vice President, Macy’s
“MINKPINK makes me remember why I became a buyer in the first place”
Maureen Kelly – Shop Intuition (L.A.)
Can we say…LOVE?
