Imagine my absolute delight when I stumbled upon Shu Uemura Tokyo Lash Bar in Holt’s. It was like “hey lover!” Even the sales lady could feel my excitement: “we have this mascara but you want the good one right? The really dramatic one”, is what she says to me.
Although the Shu Uemura cosmetics line carries everything from cleansers to nail polish to brushes, it is best known for its iconic eyelash curler (which is not yet a part of my collection but will soon be mine) and lashes.
The first Tokyo Lash Bar opened in 2005, and Toronto was lucky enough to receive its very own in August of this year. Materials for the lashes range from velvet feathers, to diamonds, to lace. There’s even a design collabo w/ Viktor & Rolf.
It’s like couture for the eyes.

I’m vanishing for a day to ward off some kind of nasty cold that comes once a year and turns my voice into a man’s. But rest assured there’s a contest coming and I want you to be a part of it, as it is my last wish prior to being bed ridden for the unforeseeable future.
Happy contesting in t-minus 2 days!
I’m loving their holiday pictures – makes me want to mix it up a little more, my wardrobe is hiding out a tad and a half. Take a look at how they’re saying hello to the online community.

Just another friendly neighbourhood update – I’ve had a really busy weekend filled with snapping photos, droppin’ coin, and catching up on some necessary online presence. One of them being dose.ca – check out a new article that I have up on there (erm, can you spot grammar izzues? Please don’t).
I’ve featured him before and I’m going to feature him again and again (hmm, is this foreshadowing that I see coming about?), but Justin Wu is an upcoming talent that I couldn’t showcase enough of. An Ivey student (can you believe that he’s working on his second degree and…he’s my age? Yeesh) and a keen creative eye, JWu’s looking to take 2009 to new heights as he works towards realizing his goals of becoming an esteemed fashion photographer. 7 Questions, two Scarbarians – click to read on.
