Aloha Lovers and Friends,
You’ll be wondering what I’ve been up to – well I’m makin’ moves as they say. You’ll notice the background up on urbanebloc.com, what’s that it says? Q&A with LENKA? You’re so right – I did a little Q&A with the Aussie singer that will be up on FRIDAY. So come visit again then mmkay?
What else is going on for Friday? My – glad you asked, checking out Isle of Thieves at the Hard Rock Cafe. Saturday is The Eatons at the Rancho Relaxo. Oh, and THE PEEK 2 is coming, friends from Mindzai.com and I are snazzing it up this time, be prepared to be wowed come summer.
I’ve decided to maximize the social media / social networking thing by combining the two and maximizing my music love by semi-pimping my imeem account. I’ve had some folk ask me for my playlists / whatever songs I’m loving at the moment – instead of raiding my square ipod you can raid that page.
PS – That MGMT draw video is coming, haven’t done it yet but friend and supertalent Felix Lau (creativerefleccs.com) has offered to help, so expect something slightly better than what I would have done.
Okay! That’s it for my update – leave me comments, they make me happy alongside other things. Happy day!

Out with the old and in with the new, right? Apparently, not when it comes to the Boyfriend Jeans. We have witnessed this trend conquer the fashion world as celebrities and style muses all around rocked the look. But who knew women all over would still be raiding their boyfriend’s closets months after the sighting of the baggier jeans on Katie Holmes?
If you are still stuck on the Skinny Jean train, get yourself a pair of Boyfriend Jeans asap! Very versatile; they can be worn low, rolled up into cuffs, ripped, with heels or sneakers. When done right, it won’t look like an unfortunate case of hand-me-downs. And in my case (and for any other girl with the boy-cut), if done right, I won’t look like my boyfriend! (that’s if I had one)
Hey, call me generic, but I actually enjoy this look.

I’m a belt fanatic, really and truly I’m addicted to them. I’m not normally a proponent for accessories that have a high price range (hey, I just got out of school leave me be!) – but these are absolutely stunning. Catching onto the chain / braid / corset / gold trends, Brave Beltworks has some incredible offerings around the year. The premise of the company is MADE IN CANADA – ethical accessories that are crafted by clean and safe factory environments.
On top of all the prettiness that the brand offers, they’re doing a contest to win a $750 prize pack. Contest starts Feb 15th, check the THIS LINK for more info!
Alright, someone give me some courage to splurge on a belt. Anddd…go.

Tardy is me – I was too busy this last week getting caught up on life (and I’m still not there yet) – Wynne, I totally get what you mean by being an extreme germaphobe so you don’t get sick. I blame you not!
Last weekend I had the joy of having another adventure with Gem – going to IDS 09 was a great eye-opener to all the beautiful furniture out there (that I won’t likely be able to afford until I become a full-fledged pimp. I’m half-fledged now). Equipped with crystal sights, an abundance of hardwood, and more beautiful chairs than I could ever handle, the show was well, quite the show. Though it seemed pretty business oriented, it never hurts to get some visually stimulating ideas in your head. Things that caught my eye? casalife (for that chair that I can never find the price for), aquaovo (the most modern looking water filter systems in the world, no lie), and Princess Perfect (for everything cute in the world of interior design). Oh, and the best part was bumping into Danielle and Anita – it’s been awhile ladies!

Well, love is in the air – I felt it as I was literally all over Toronto today. Lakeshore, Queen W. (of course), North York, Scarborough, Markham, Bloor West Village, Danforth, and other random places that I had to drive through seeing as I am deterred from taking the highway for now. I totally sensed the mushy gushy.
For the couples out there – hope you had a fantabulous day, take note of all the lovey items from La Senza for the occassion. For those rocking the singledom – enjoy the splurging. I know I have (oh…have I ever. PS – Club Monaco sale items are now final saleds. Way to follow the leader leader). Oh, and be bitter to your heart’s content, because it’s all us singles have (snickers)
I’m done with the loving – onwards to summer love, aka love of the summer. PS – Check out “Tamarama – Dusty Road”, it’s a hard song to find but so worth it..
