Ever wake up after a long night out and thought: “hey, wish they bottled this fragrance?”, or “why can’t I smell like sex on the beach?”
Before you jump all over me for those double-entendres that I tend to walk right into, this one was intentional because well, it’s literal (if you think about the drink not…anyway). Demeter Fragrance Library is a collection of fragrances for the home and body that range in all deliciousness (erm, flavours they call them, not scents). Taking from brands such as Hershey’s, Jelly Belly, and …

What is going on with Zara lately?
I went in the other day and not only did I get EXACTLY what I was looking for (actually 3 of what I was looking for—I haven’t shopped in a while), I could have left with like 50 other pieces, including a chocolate brown bag trimmed with fringe and some lime green four inchers that almost made me weep right there in the store.
Zara is doing nothing for the recessionista lifestyle I’m trying to lead!
Geez I got bills to pay.

Ever get the crazy inkling to wear a little piece of Pink Floyd on your feet? How about yearning for a shoe that mimicks a straight jacket, inspired by Ozzy Osbourne? Don’t kid yourself – you have. You have and now you’re so able to with Converse’s hottie Brit Music Collabo Collection. It’s a mouthful, I know, I can completely sympathize as I type. Regardless of my ramblings, Converse has gone at getting a piece of rock history on your feet again. This collection celebrates bands that caused disruptions to …

Hey Folks!
Thanks for the visits – I know there are people out there reading this and that gets me really excited knowing that you’re taking the time to see what I’m typing ferociously out. Just wanted to get a few things out there so you know whatta gwanin’ with me + the site.
1. You’ll notice some changes – the focus is definitely mucho fashion, but I’ve started to integrate music, beauty, and overall style into the site. Like or dislike? Do share (and delurk yourself)
2. Speaking of music, Isle of …

Remember those delightfully upbeat GAP khaki commercials from the late 90’s? (For a quick “swing” down memory lane, click) Well, it seems like every designer has jumped on the khaki-clad bandwagon once again this spring. My personal favourite: 3.1 Phillip Lim. Whether it’s a camel-coloured t-shirt dress, a casual sheath, an oversized cargo vest, or even a fitted pair of the always controversial jodhpurs, Phillip Lim unquestionably knows how to pull off khakis. A handful of pieces in eye-popping yellow and turquoise perfectly complement his collection’s otherwise neutral pallet. Fresh, …

The new issue is out and about – CONTRA MAG has done it again with its image-rich online magazine. It’s always got that graphically charged imagery that we lust for in a magazine, this time with a New York flavour. Peppered with profiles on what’s late and great in New York, interesting folk that raise from there, and hella good fashion finds, I’m pretty confident CM has managed to boost NYC travel interest from local Torontonians.
Checkity it out at thinkcontra.com. Keep killin it Trung and MILA!

Whilst joking about this handcream smelling like “science” (yeah yeah stop giving me dirty looks for my lack of verbal coherency), I really am in love with this handcream. Impruv handcream (okay, James Bond moment there). I’m a strong advocate for this derma-membrane-patented-cream, and I’m just spreading some good knowledge, albeit us walking into spring.
Thanks Jon for the share – this is never leaving my purse!

Just une slight shoutout to ION Magazine – they’ve nabbed Lykke Li for the front cover of this month’s issue (pretty rad timing as she just did a great show in Toronto early February, and has been making waves with Aritzia as of late). Pick up a copy at your local hip spot (aka in Toronto that would be near every store down Queen West), or check it out online HERE.

I’m an outstandingly lucky girl – loving the fact that I periodically get perfume that I love, like the CK Euphoria Spring Temptation Perfume. They say not to judge a book by its cover, or in this case, a fragrance by its bottle, but from the get go we were off to a great start (I’m personifying my new fragrance – leave me alone, every inanimate object needs a little human). With the classic CK Euphoria bottle shape, this one came in a frosted pink with gorgeous nature imagery stencils …

Ever seen those wallets made of duct tape that guys seem to tote around with pride in high school? Have absolutely no idea what I’m talking about? Well all’s fair in love and recycling I suppose. The recycled necktie and suit wallet was designed by Laura Skelton, with the exterior being of a silk tie and the interior of suit material. Nothing like a fancy hybrid for your carrying pleasure. $28.00 says you should get on it boys – what’dya say?
