I was put into the know about the Style Advisory Council (a group of fashion in-the-knows) by Miss Bailey. Captured by the image alone (by the very talented Danielle Meder of Final Fashion), their upcoming themed event Texstyle: Androgyny has me captivated by the era. Take on the classics, the beautiful clean lines and shapes, and take a peek at this event happening on June 4th, 2009. Details? Get aware here.
More deets? Decor by ev3nts, catering by Nyood, and prizing – tickets to Luminato, tickets to LG Fashion Week, and LG DVD Player. Jewelry? Covered by Susie Love of course.

Jah, it’s summer time almost, and it’s time to break ‘dem lounge wears out. I know you are simply enthralled by the way I formed that sentence. Detracting from the point (it’s what I do best), Over The Rainbow is offering a sweet dealio where you can get $30.00 off your next purch over $100 (which is…pretty much everything). Starts June 1 till it hits the 30. Enjoy!

Well, accordingly to many phrases everything is the new black. But really and truly, rompers have made a large splash in the retail market for their intense comfort (sounds like an oxymoron, rest assured it is not) and all around ease of wear.
Just a few I’ve mangled out:
1. Only Hearts Romper – ShopBop.com: On sale for half the usual price, this soft heather grey romper calls out for you to get it for the weekends.
2. Lace Trim Romper – Forever 21: I’ll admit, I tried to buy the cornflower blue version of this one, but I was so distraught by the lineup that was billowing throughout the store that I decided to refrain from driving myself insane (and potentially making impulse purchases at the strategically placed accessory section). Meant for intimate wear but daring to the exhibitionist, this romper is not only sheer jersey comfort, but functional with lovely pockets for your convenience.
3. Silk Blend Jumpsuit – Forever 21: Another take on the intimate, but that seems to be where rompers are going (anyone see the Wilfred one?) It’s an affordable number.

Here we go – it’s one of those contemplative posts that you’re all so fond of. As I tap this out frantically prior to jetsetting downtown, I’m here to say that I’m thankful for all that I have. In the last half-year I’ve been able to make several dramatic shifts (despite what judgements people bestowed upon me), did some writing, did some band-interviewing, did some social networking and job role-assumptions, and met some astounding people like Wynne, Carole/Sushi, Carolyn Van, Work Folk, and Skanny (plus entourage). As some of my favourite people are moving out and about (bye Carole – have a fantastic summer!) and Skanny with his speech tonight, I’m moved by the types of folk that are keeping me in their lives.
I’ve been looking for “the next big thing” for awhile, but turns out that I’m in the midst of it and it’s about to reach its tipping point. Earlier I was literally running yet happy, and had to internally coin the phrase “Running with aim, smiling aimlessly”.
Stayfresh08 is going to be prove to be an amazing chat, good luck @Skanwar!
I’ve been coveting this dress for a little while, and ever since I had my cupcake hangfest with CarolynVan I’ve been obsessing over dresses (it’s been a day). Regardless, this dress came across my mind again, and I couldn’t believe that I had managed to find Lily Allen’s get up from Acne Jeans (Baroque Dress). On sale from $1,089.64 to $360.59 (uhm, well, if you put it that way it looks like an utter steal), this little diddy is now available in a whopping one size (4). Hurts. Anyway, glad I found it so I can put the notion of getting my hands on it to rest.
