Adidas Originals has been inspired and as a result released a 2010 Star Wars Collection which will feature three lines: a character line, a vehicle line and a direct line (which commemorates famous scenes from the films). Finally some sweet kicks which aptly express my inner geek.  Although the Skywalker hightop’s bright orange styling are pretty awesome I have to concede my favourite pair are the Yoda. With subtle colours and a design cross between a desert boot and boat shoe (makes sense as the shoe needs the functional fortitude to withstand both the forest and swamp terrain of Dagobah) I think that this shoe is the best one of the bunch.

The sneakers have started rolling out to Adidas Original Stores and select retailers as of January 2010.

Buy these shoes I will!

I’m going to go ahead and ignore the claims of men not being inclined to use Dove. Because we all know that men often tend to mooch beauty goodness off of their female counter parts / mates. So here’s what I propose: you accept it, and you get on board. Dove Men+Care (well, in short, Dove Men) has launched and it’s playing off of the aforementioned idea. And I like it. It’s fresh smelling, it’s masculine enough to offset the Dove name, and they genuinely have some good offerings (well, maybe not the clean-tool. Get to that in a bit).

The products are priced so reasonably you’ll think AXE Effect. The line is multi-functional (body AND face wash? Really?)

Rebel against that super expensive, conventional heart shaped, silver necklace this Vday and pop on over to Made You Look Jewellery Studio and Gallery, and Made You Look Accessories for some original jewellery inspired by love.  Both places, located on Queen West, represent more than 100 local, self-employed jewellery designers and carry everything from the high-end goods to the more affordable, unique, handmade designs. My pick goes to the Glass Heart Pendants made from hand-blown glass by Aimee Kennedy of Fine and Good.  These beauts are available in red, black and polka-dot and come in two sizes ($40 for the small, $85 for the large).  If you want to get more personal, Made You Look can help too… custom designs just happen to be their specialty, wink wink.

Just in time for the XXI Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, BC, the lovely folks at LUSH (you can always count on LUSH), have come through with the most delectable of treats to get fresh with right before you take in a luge or two.
