While I’m not typically one most for musicals, I have to say that MAMMA MIA! has been on the “To-Watch” list for all to long (likely a healthy 10 years, since A Teens came out with their wonderous remakes of the classic musical’s songs). With an extended play in Toronto brought to you by Mirvish, it was a calling to ensure that I caught it this time. And what better way is there to watch it than to put on some florals, pearlesque necklaces, all alongside a great gal pal? None, that’s what.

From the hilarious park job to the overzealous foray down the Princess of Wales’ staircase, we were off to a grand night of the arts. The story came to life as Sophie and cast animated the atmosphere. There was dancing. There were sparkles. And there were seat neighbours that mused at our energetic bantering.

Thank you to Mirvish for the night out, I adored watching a childhood yearning be sweetly satisfied.
