I love Biko

When it comes to jewellery, I always prefer pieces that are a bit non-traditional. A Tiffany key is classic and beautiful, but my jewellery stand is full of long chains with quirky pendants, like owls, feathers and handcuffs (totally PG13, I swear). When I first took a peek at the Biko jewellery collection, I was instantly hooked.

Created by Toronto-based designer Corrine Anestopoulos, the new spring 2011 collection has something for everyone: edgy chains with brass spikes, delicate necklaces with sweet pendants, and sweet studded earrings with hearts and doves. While it’s hard for me to pick a favourite, the gold chain with fortune cookie pendant (above) ranks among the top on my must-have list.

The Biko collection ranges from $35 – $195, and can be purchased at ilovebiko.com. Biko will be at the Spring One of a Kind show in Toronto – which is where you’ll also find me, trying to decide which necklace to buy. Happy shopping.

  • These are so cute!
I have to agree with you on the quirky charms. My favourite was a little silver cannon I picked up while visiting a fort in the states once. I loved it!
