Cazal Eyewear – true stunners

Cazal Eyewear

I’m in love with these sunglasses – just because they’re likely the most elaborate things that I would ever consider donning on my face. They’re large, they’re black and gold (remind anyone of the Sam Sparro song?), and they’re just perfect for my lavish lifestyle (hah, please detect extreme sarcasm). To put it more in context for you – the idolized Gwen Stefani has worn them on many occassions. Cazal Eyewear boasts high quality eyewear has been around since 1975 with touchpoints in Berlin, New York, and Tokyo. Created by internationally renowned designer Cari Zalloni (Ca-Zal – get it?), the brand is making waves in Toronto at the Gafas Sunglasses boutique on Queen West (561 Queen Street W). I’ve seen the pair pictured above priced at $300 here.

Ecstatic to check them out in person next week sometime, will let you all know if I go home with them (squealing silently).

The Bravest Belts Around

Brave Belts

I’m a belt fanatic, really and truly I’m addicted to them. I’m not normally a proponent for accessories that have a high price range (hey, I just got out of school leave me be!) – but these are absolutely stunning. Catching onto the chain / braid / corset / gold trends, Brave Beltworks has some incredible offerings around the year. The premise of the company is MADE IN CANADA – ethical accessories that are crafted by clean and safe factory environments.

On top of all the prettiness that the brand offers, they’re doing a contest to win a $750 prize pack. Contest starts Feb 15th, check the THIS LINK for more info!

Alright, someone give me some courage to splurge on a belt. Anddd…go.

Comfort Scents

L'Artisan Parfumeur Candles

I’ve been much into interior design / items for the home lately, and I’ve been absolutely smitten with the L’Artisan Parfumeur luxury brand, more specifically, their candles. The brand has been creating luxury candles, home fragrances, and eaux de toilettes since 1976, their luxury brands extending to production of Bottega Veneta candles. I truly have to say that I’ve never had such incredibly euphoric-smelling candles in my life, with rich tones and scents all packaged in a gorgeous display, L’Artisan Parfumeur are a worthy splurge and a half. In four years the brand has managed to grow from 5 boutiques to 30 in 2008, and 350 worldwide.

Disconnect? Not quite, urbanebloc is about lifestyle too – and mine has taken me to great appreciation for scented candles.

Worth mentioning also that I went to IDS 09 this past weekend, will give you coverage on buying overpriced hotdogs and staring at gorgeous bathtubes. Kidding – it’ll be a doozy.

Ray Ban TONAL Wayfarers

Ray Ban Tonal Wayfarers

I’m completely in love with these things – I adore the classic Ray Ban Wayfarer, but to know that they’ve done another variation on it makes me absolutely giddy. They’re complete hotness for lack of better terminology.

Perfect for Spring/Summer, I first encountered these pups when perusing through the shopbop lookbook (as always, I adore the photography and styling, definitely my #1 go-to). At a measly $139.00 (US I believe. Heh), these shades are my primary covet for oh, say the next few weeks.

Must!

Mischa Barton wants you to wear stuff on your head

Mischa Headbands

I’ve always admired Mischa Barton’s waif hippy type of stylings, she still seems really fresh faced and beautiful to me (despite her dwindling career in second rate movies and her half-hearted efforts at endorsing Keds). The newest news with her is her collaboration with Stacey Lapidus (a celebrity favoured accessories designer), with ghastly overpriced headbands. I love the look, but slightly appauled by the pricing (but what can you expect – some of them have pearls).

Gotta give her cred for trying I guess – franks but no franks!
