They may be best known for being the branded denim that Audrina Patridge fronts – but it’s also a pretty steller line. I was reminded of them when I hit Blossom Boutique on Main (Q&A in the post below). Divine Rights of Denim is a brand to be regarded beyond their star-studded supporters (I’m not a fan of that saying – I just really like the sequential s’ words. Woop, did it again) – they’re quality jean wear. Based out of LA (hence the celebrity support), they offer seven styles …

Always dressing To The Nines is not an option – it’s a necessity. What better way to address that than with a line whose mantra is the same. Hailing from Van city, To The Nines Clothing is equal mix of skater/surf/snow, streetwear, and has the ability to cater to a punk and hip-hop fan base. Their first collection has launched for F/W 09 – mucho more to come from the brand.
The thing I’m diggin more about this is that the shirts have a bit more of a graphic element to …

Adorable name aside, these rainboots are truly…adorable. Plueys is the cleverly coined name – these cute rainboots are a great opponent to the ever clunkster Hunter boots (easy on the rhyming Gloria). Albeit girly, these booties are fun enough to wear out and about on a rainy weekend. Let not the rain foil your plans – get Pluey and get out there!

It’s new and it’s naked – who could disagree with that? A little while back I was sent lab samples (aka pre-packaged product, so not so weird) for the True Blue Spa naked line from Bath and Body Works. While it sounds a little bit alarming to get lab samples, rest assured the products were most definitely the “Cotton Dress Shea Light Body Lotion” ($17.50) and the “Bare Skin Silk Body Mist” ($19.50). It’s another introduction into the affordable luxury realm. The premise? Lightweight products perfect for a steamy summer …

I stepped outside today and two things immediately came to mind: 1) I suck for having to work on such a beautiful day (and I’m certain I’m not alone in this) and 2) Yay for sandals, flats, and cut-out booties! I don’t know about you, but personally, I’m dreading the day Uggs, Sorel boots, and thermal socks make their unwanted comeback. It’s about time my feet get some breathing room! And hey, what better way to celebrate this triumph than with some good ol’ Jeffrey Campbell footwear. They are super …

Beautiful things come from Vancouver – and Elroy is absolutely no exception. I have this firm belief that sustainability in clothing is completely the new movement. So much so that it’s almost become the standard. And with standards come homogenous design, but not so with Elroy. I get quite a few emails that land in my inbox for brands, and this one completely had me taken. Crisp design, fresh materials, and angular / uncommon shapes. Beautiful. Most importantly – so utterly organic. Thank you Leanne Elroy for bringing to us …

Simple, modern, cool without trying too hard, fashion forward without being flashy… these were my initial thoughts when I first saw an ad for Adidas’s newest brand, SLVR. The best part of SLVR’s first collection are the sharp, structured silhouettes that somehow still manage to have a relaxed, casual feel to them. It seems like an oxymoron, but one need only look at SLVR’s hooded parka, biker jacket, or ribbed cardigan dress to understand. While each piece holds a distinct shape, it’s also clear that each allows the wearer ease …

Matinique is smouldering – well, maybe I’m referring to the model in their campaign. Regardless of Black or Blue Label, I think Matinique has captured exactly, what I would style myself if I were a man (or uhm, a bold cross dresser). In a class of its own, Matinique has been a brand that I’ve marvelled at for awhile now. Designed with the aim of being high-quality, comfortable, and fashionable clothing for men (okay, well, who doesn’t). The point is that they manage to achieve all of these objectives, while …

I’m in love with these sunglasses – just because they’re likely the most elaborate things that I would ever consider donning on my face. They’re large, they’re black and gold (remind anyone of the Sam Sparro song?), and they’re just perfect for my lavish lifestyle (hah, please detect extreme sarcasm). To put it more in context for you – the idolized Gwen Stefani has worn them on many occassions. Cazal Eyewear boasts high quality eyewear has been around since 1975 with touchpoints in Berlin, New York, and Tokyo. Created by …

I know most people aren’t quivering when I talk about mall brands, but Jacob has really redeemed itself in my eyes – they’ve churned out some solid designs and high quality wear (though the pricing is a bit stiff still). I found myself captivated by their new wears for the Spring / Summer – it’s outstandingly classic, professional, and extremely gorgeous at the same time. Maybe it’s just the timelessness of black and white, but this had me stop in my tracks to marvel, and trust me, not many things …
