Not the most common of combinations, but it’s pretty killer for a birthday just passed. Feeling good, feeling wiser, and feeling sound in all of my decisions as of lately. Hey, I’ve been neglecting you sweet bloc lately. I have updates – and they’re good.
Cheers to the next bit, it’s going to be something really, really good.

Dad’s day is quickly approaching (silly me, I thought it was this week), and lucky for you, there’s time for a little giveaway so you can be set and worry free for the faja. No stranger to Dove Men+Care, here’s another wonderful iteration in celebration for Father’s Day 2011. While Dove Men+Care is launching their own contest, the Dove Men+Care All-Star Dad Search, you’ll have your own opportunity to win a package straight from Dove themselves.
On urbanebloc.com, until June 15th you’ll have the chance to win a gift set including the items above (may not be exact items pictured).
FIRST: “LIKE” us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/urbanebloc. Sharing is caring – much appreciated if you can help spread the good word. Open only to Canadian Residents.
SECOND: Leave me a comment on this post letting me know why your dad is an all star.
If you’re inkling for some other prizing and you’ve missed the June 15th drop date, you can still participate in Dove’s All-Star Dad Search. Here are the details:
It doesn’t matter if fathers are pro-athletes, investment bankers or teachers; in the eyes of their families and Dove they are All-Stars because they care. To celebrate this special man, Dove is asking Canadians to submit a photo and a short story that demonstrates why their partner, father, cousin, uncle, etc. is an All-Star Dad.
Prizing
Dove Men+Care will be giving away some exciting prizes to the top-20 All-Star Dads, and 3 finalists will be chosen to win an exclusive CFL VIP package that includes flights, accommodation and tickets for their entire family to attend the 2011 Grey Cup game. How To Enter
The Dove All-Star Dad Search Contest runs from May 17th – June 30th, at www.facebook.com/dove.

Not much of a secret that I adore Blossom Lounge. Ever since my Q&A with Shauna from Blossom Lounge I’ve done an impressive frequenting of the Main Street, Unionville boutique. I’d swear a good majority of my nicer / more fun dresses are from there (like the one pictured above, from when I had attended a little something in Toronto called LG Fashion Week.
Click on the image above or here for the quick Q&A I did with them – much love!
Allo. It’s Gloria Here. Announcing that I’m going to be away for a bit (if you haven’t spotted said talks on Twitter). I’ll be away until May 16th, and I’m going to miss the interwebs dearly. But I’ve agreed for myself that I won’t be blogging actively or even on a computer much for the duration of my trip.
Thanks so much for sticking by, lots o’photos to come your way afterwards. Until then, sad waves all around.

Bonjour wonderful friends. I’m on a giveaway spree (and by that I mean…this is number two. Trust though – there’s more more more coming). Hope Rising is a fundraising event that’s happening next week (May 3rd, as indicated on the poster above). As made aware by the Dare to Wear Love fashion show series at LGFW, the Stephen Lewis Foundation is an organization supports community-based organizations working to turn the tide of HIV/AIDS in Africa. They’re a brilliant bunch that put together creative and phenomenal experiences, and I’m all for it. With that, I’m here to spread a little cheer in thanks to friends at Rock It Promo, to giveaway 1 PAIR OF TICKETS to this amazing line up next week.

Cheers and sparkles.
