I love Natasha Khan’s style – it seems to be a mix of eighties-exotic, a dash of spiritual, and the sass of Brit-Victorian. It’s so eclectic and elaborate, not to mention that I love the eerie music that Bat for Lashes produces. Raised in Pakistan and England Khan mixes and mingles style in her music and wardrobe selections.

Taken under the wing of style icon Kate Moss, Devin Aoki became wildly popular in the wake of 2 Fast 2 Furious and Sin City through acting and modeling. The buzz seems to have died down since, but it appears that she’s still busying herself in fashion.
Appearing in Vogue Japan, Devin Aoki has really reminded me as to why her unique look and awkward acting seem to have attracted so much attention. Her unusual features and being deemed ‘The World’s Shortest Supermodel” (at 5’6″) has commanded great presence, emphasizing the fact that she has a rare talent allowing her to break through the typical physical restrictions of modeling.
This girl truly seems to be a heavy weight – she’s walked the runway for Chanel, Versace, and Baby Phat (insert snickers). This jetsetting 25 year old has made a name of herself as a fierce career woman on the cusp of releasing a fashion line and embarking on new business ventures.
Let’s just break it down to the fundamental question: Hot/Not?

It came across me this past week – another celebrity line endorsed by a blonde bigwig in the entertainment industry. I’m not really sure what the buzz ever was about Sienna Miller (other than her waif modeleque figure, I can’t even recall anything significant that she’s accomplished other than being a wacky drug addict in Factory Girl). Nevertheless, her clothing line titled by numbers is not indicative of the style of clothing the brand encompasses.
Flipping through the collection gives me chills, not because of great awe-inspiring design, but the models are a soul-less bunch, their heavily lined eyes bore into me and I can’t even pay attention to the clothes. The style is rather boy-chic, and it just looks like other things that Sienna Miller has donned in the past.
Well, discover for yourself. Halloween’s passed but it doesn’t mean there isn’t still room for ghastly-figure viewing.
I don’t know what it is that makes Lauren Conrad so appealing – her Californian wholesome good looks or the fact that she can whisk through more unnecessary drama than anyone else in the continent without really doing anything exciting or even changing her facial expression. Anyhow, the release of the 10 pieces in her Fall line are out with another 40 pieces or so to be released in Spring ’08. Thus far there has been fairly good feedback, however the fact that the line is essentially a commodity of MTV’s takes away from the credibility of it. In any case, it’s worthy of a good flip-through, it’s interesting to see what celebrities do with their lines and their involvement with the development of it.

Adidas is renowned for its original branding and style whether it be through their retro collections, street-catered lines, or original product lines. This is precisely why Stella McCartney aligning her brand alongside this lifestyle label appears to be unique and refreshing. Her original creations for Adidas are not only presented as a celebration of runway style in activewear, but they are considered higher end as they retail in luxury stores such as Holt Renfrew (for you Canadians out there). The ad campaigns for her exclusive Adidas line are not only awe-inspiring due to the pieces, but because of the sharp colour and elaborate styling.
Her new line came out recently, complete with a brand new website showcasing the additions. Dance, Yoga, Studio, Running, Tennis, and Winter Sports are all clothing families which house athletic wear with distinctive angles, fabrics, and fit. It’s absolutely stunning. So much that I felt I had to take a break between the last blog and this one (Sorry!)
Click to view the website (the music is awfully soothing).
