Denim, Something New, Would You Wear It? »

Boyfriend Jeans? That was so 2009. This year, the spotlight’s on Fidelity Denim’s new collection of vintage western and Boyfriend Shirts for Spring 2010. While I admit that the idea of a denim shirt frightened me at first, the button-ups soon won me over with their cool, rugged, laid-back look that any boyfriend-shirt-wearing girl would appreciate. The shirts come in 2 different styles and 7 different washes – my personal faves are the the Louis in Crude, and the Ted in Ombre. Just pair …

They may be best known for being the branded denim that Audrina Patridge fronts – but it’s also a pretty steller line. I was reminded of them when I hit Blossom Boutique on Main (Q&A in the post below). Divine Rights of Denim is a brand to be regarded beyond their star-studded supporters (I’m not a fan of that saying – I just really like the sequential s’ words. Woop, did it again) – they’re quality jean wear. Based out of LA (hence the celebrity support), they offer seven styles …

I am by no means a brand hohoho, but I’ve been blathering on and on about acquiring a new pair of jeans. Literally, the last time I purchased a pair were my True Religions (which oh yes, I so diligently documented – ps, take that alliteration, take that). Saturday was a nifty time downtown (can I mention that I paid a hefty $17 to park at Yonge and Bloor – I don’t think pockets can hurt more than that) with Carole, where I took the plunge. The recent welcome of …

Perfect boyfriends don’t exist – but perfect boyfriend jeans surely compensate for that (see that – that was me trying to be witty)! There was chat about boyfriend jeans in a post by Karizza, and here I am again to highlight these boyfriend jeans (The Rocco) from Fidelity Denim. Why? Because I’m smitten with their jeans (I love saying the word smitten. Smitten Smitten Smitten) – these boyfriend jeans are torn and worn in all the right places, and rolled up to perfection, exuding a casual, comfortable, and easy going …

Fidelity Denim has been one of those brands that has among the most loyal following that I’ve seen. I first heard about it when I used to be a shopgirl back in my university days, when a customer came up to me inquiring about said “Fidelity Denim”. Little did I know that was only the beginning of what I would hear about the brand. Retailed at luxury stores such as Holts, Mendocino, and Over the Rainbow, Fidelity embodies premium denim with a vintage yet tinge of modern flare. …

Out with the old and in with the new, right? Apparently, not when it comes to the Boyfriend Jeans. We have witnessed this trend conquer the fashion world as celebrities and style muses all around rocked the look. But who knew women all over would still be raiding their boyfriend’s closets months after the sighting of the baggier jeans on Katie Holmes?

If you are still stuck on the Skinny Jean train, get yourself a pair of Boyfriend Jeans asap! Very versatile; they can be worn low, rolled up into cuffs, …

Why get naked when you can get Naked and Famous all with a simple pair of well-fitting jeans. They’re making some serious waves with their offering of Japanese imported fabrics, and catching some hefty attention from retailers like Over the Rainbow, and Aritzia, N&F sells based on high quality, raw denim. Who needs bells and whistles when you can just get Naked and feel good. Alright, stop reading into the double entendres and read into my Q&A with Brandon Svarc:

Here’s a new denim line that I instantly clicked with: Bread Denim. It’s not quite your Antik or Acne, but it’s name is definitely representative of its style. Classic.
The fit and cut looks to be a fairly wide range – from slim fit to relaxed and casual, Bread Denim is targeted at the young and urban. Positioned as a premium yet ‘down-to-earth’ denim line, Bread Denim is the boy that found his way into Hollywood, or the wholesome girl looking for something new. ‘Scuse my seemingly aimless metaphoric prose.
My …

Neighborhood Technical Apparel (more commonly known as Neighborhood) is a Japanese street label that takes influences from punk and street culture and fuses it in their limited edition graphic t-shirts and selvage denim. As of lately, their denim has been the biggest hype in the Asian street fashion scene, spreading to North America. Starting at around $300 retail price and being resold at reseller shops and online for as much as $1500, these jeans seem to validate themselves on the market.
Created by Shinsuke Takizawa, Neighborhood first began in 1994. Their …
