Alas, gone are the days where I could roll out of bed and put on my favourite pair of jeans, my grungy ripped up sweater, and my rugged combat boots and stroll out the door carelessly. Now I roll out of bed, put on my nicely ironed button down, neatly pressed trousers, and freshly waxed lace-ups and stroll out the door looking like every other average joe out there.
It’s boring and I hate it.
I hate the lack of individuality in business casual and formal dress codes, but it’s something …

The latest and greatest in shoes seem to pertain to water - huge rubber rainboots and now boating shoes are the preferred footwear for fall. One of the coolest casual adaptations of the boating shoe would be by Vans in the Zapato (okay, truth is that I’m only writing about them because I love the name and I giggle internally as I type it and reread it).
Regardless, the common traits of the boating shoe are:

Stiff sides and back - simple shape
Laced only at the top, with the laces extended through …

If you’re still stuck on the title, baffled by how a clothing line can name something in such a complicated manner, feel at ease with the fact that it actually happens to be a great offering. Gytha (a gift) Mander (from me), struck me as too odd to be true, modeling its logo after a 4-legged insect and models styled in a dark and timely fashion. Trust me, after getting over the pre-judging, you’ll marvel at the classic make and the twist of contemporary that Gytha Mander presents.
A little More:
Gytha …

Nothing like judging a book like it’s cover - contrary to popular folklore, we all like to judge people based on their exteriors. At least in fashion and modelling. What better way than to have a comprehensive countdown?

Check it …

VERSACE – Since acquiring ex-Cloak designer Alexandre Plokhov as a consultant, Versace has …

Japan has always been a major player in fashion ever since the trio of Yohji Yamamoto, Rei Kawakubo, and Issey Miyake made tidal waves with their avant-garde aesthetic in the 80’s. The big 3 broke conventional norms and introduced a new type of creativity that put Japan on the fashion map. In the early 2000’s we saw the uprising of Undercover and Number (N)ine, two street wear oriented labels who have cultivated a unique presence on the runway. Now, most recently, two menswear labels will soon join …
