I hope you’ve all realized by now that I love writing, despite being fairly rusty at the creative (hey, four years in business school doesn’t give allowance to fashion-inclined writing nor anything remotely flowery). In order to sharpen the descriptors up and to break out the literary devices, I’ve started to make an attempt to get my writing out there. ION Magazine is one of these outlets, and I wrote about the up and coming MOD trend for the July issue.

Hey Aussies, I love your publications.

Want to learn how to dress? Well set aside your everyday newsstand fashion mag and pick up a copy of Japan’s Non-no. This magazine proves that the Japanese have fashion down to a science. There’s nothing like a little patriotism - especially when it comes to fashion. ION Magazine raises from the second fashion capital of our lovely-richinnaturalresources-country, Vancouver. I was randomly cleaning my room today after much procrastination, and I dug out this bursting-with-colour-and-energy magazine.
What I love about it? That it’s free and still rocks the ‘underground’ theme (unlike the ever-familiar NYLON Magazine). The advertisements are from fairly unknown and likeable brands, and the content pertains to Indie music culture and other Canadian talent.
