It’s all there. Aaaall of it. If you haven’t seen the little magazine that could adorned with our furry friend on the front, then please have a look see now.

Thanks to friends @sciontistLC and @shingo_shimizu for so many shades of fun.

Nina Dobrev graces the cover of Flare’s February issue

Though  probably best known for her role in the Vampire Diaries, I must admit I’ve been a fan of Flare’s newest cover girl since her days on Degrassi. The up-and-coming actress returned to her hometown of Toronto for the cover shoot and appears all grown up and confident while striking a pose for the magazine’s February issue. Combining her beautiful dark features with the sweet and gentle elegance she conveys in her performances, she is somewhat reminiscent of a junior version of another Canadian starlet I adore – Emanuelle Chiriqui – although it’s clear she’s got enough talent that she’ll be paving her own path through Hollywood. With a hit TV show in The Vampire Diaries already under her belt, she’s also set to star in an upcoming thriller, opposite Samuel L. Jackson and Kellan Lutz (you know, the one from that other little vampire production called Twilight).

In the mag, she dishes about Diaries, dates and her style. Being only 22, her look is still very young and fresh and constantly evolving. Love that she can get all glammed up on the red carpet with flirty and girly dresses, but still knows how to kick it in her downtime with a look that’s more comfy, down to earth and edgy (think leather jackets, ripped jeans and slouchy knit hats).

Since 2008, Sharp Magazine has been providing Canadian men with the style advice, product recommendations, and all in all helping men stay looking dapper.  Now Sharp Magazine introduces a new book to make sure you’re on you’re “A” game, and if you already your game, then it will keep you in check.

The Book for Men is filled with advice and information on fashion, apparel, accessories, electronics, cars, and watches all in this premium 198-page package. Not to mention, each page is elegantly laid out accompanied with beautiful photography. This book is just the start of a biannual series, which will have fall/winter and spring/summer editions, and should soon become your encyclopedia for men’s fashion.

Are you new to the fashion game? Not sure if you know the basics? Well my friend, I think you’re in luck.  Included is a 32-page fashion manual with information, advice, tips and tricks that will bring you and your style up to speed. If you need a little more, Chic’s Dress Smart Men is a great book that will teach you the basics so you can fully appreciate everything the Book for Men have to offer.

The great part is The Book for Men is available for under $15, so take a peek at the book and purchase it if you like what you see. Stay looking sharp.

kove in String Magazine

One of my favourite people from the west coast is Kyla Leslie of kove. The girl has an amazing talent in creating stunning knitwear that makes you look thrice. I featured her earlier this year when I was lucky enough to be in Vancouver during the Olympics, and now she’s recently been named an Etsy Featured Seller. I just had to add this post in with the images of her String Magazine spread, which is looking truly knit to perfection. See it in large below.

Congratulations Kyla!

Above you’ll see the individuals (or SCIONTISTS as they say) featured on the masthead. Check out the actual issue here – my articles are screen capped below (Izakaya Invasion, The Cheaper Show, and Piknic Electronique.

Special thanks to Lisa for letting me take part, what an experience it’s been to jet off to Vancouver, eat an abundance of incredible food, and drive around a wickedly modified car.
