This image is by no means a Debbie Downer-infused one. It’s a tribute to the summer neutrals that I was happy to sport for the last few months. While the colouring might not tip towards a more light and breezy nature, rest assured these pieces were fantastic for the warm (and not so warm) weathers. Although I definitely see myself still sporting some of these pieces whilst layering.
Can you tell what’s in this photo? To save yourself some heavy squinting, I’ll spell it out for you:

Something I snagged from a great boutique (that I’ll be profiling – yeah yeah Gloria stop talking about it so much), it’s a purse from orb. The dealbreaker was the fact that it had a messenger strap to convert it to a side bag / cross-body tote. It’s PVC (the downfall – as with the rest of orb’s stuff). But I guess as matt&nat would say, it’s “vegan leather”. Aka pleather. Aka pretty good faux leather?
I’m a fan of eco-friendly. By the by, you’ll be seeing much more of the …

Just doing a little reminiscing of Montreal – love this top that I got from kooka boutique (they don’t have a website as far as I can see). The girls there are mind-blowingly stylish, and the clothes there are absolutely beautiful (a little on the pricey stretch, this tank top alone being $50-ish). We might have gone at a strange time, because the store was somewhat ran-sacked of sizing. Though their jewelry, belts, and shoes were nothing short of astounding.

Lustre Boutique was a stunning little find when Gem and I went to Montreal late May. It was the one store that was open late (whilst we were looking for a cafe/nightspot) that we came upon. Nothing short of amazing, the boutique housed gorgeous and unique pieces from designer Yasmine Wasfy. Though I didn’t end up with the perfect skirt as hoped, I did take home the necklace pictured above, by the jewelry line Thai Hand. Inclusive of vintage pieces and semi-precious stones, this was my dimepiece for the trip. …

Aloha! Who doesn’t love guessing games – I’m asking you to take part in one right now. Put out your guess for where you think this ring is from. Hint: You’ll have heard of the store (if you’re Canadian that is).
Three cheers for the person who gets it right! Go ahead, guess on.

Any excuse to dress up – bowling was absolutely no exception. There was build up to the actual costuming, and there was build up prior to the event (proof – A.Petrigs totally tweeted about our ridiculousnessness after passing two tiara-ed femmes on the 407). Twilight fever is back and stronger than ever, we the girls of the teenage-goth kind are testament to that. I hope you understand any of this post.
Point is, I loved the get ups and …

I went in search for the perfect summer shoe to transition me from the astoundingly frigid spring. I went to Browns, B2, Feet First, Stoneridge, Nine West, Icon, Forever 21, Spring, Soft Moc, Le Chateau – all in hopes of finding the one. Strangely enough, I ended up back at Aldo (yes, I know I must be supporting one of their stores with the volume I buy from there). The Bregantini’s are a pleasant little number when worn, I love the structure and the comfort (yes, suede bottoms). Do they …

I was so flattered when I received the email from Aliyah of TheStyleSpy.com to be their next Girl of the Week – I had actually seen their site before (well, being a popular Vancouver go-to online for fashion, only natural!) While I don’t take good photos (heh. heh. it’s a curse – don’t be too hard on what I’m wearing it’ll hurt), I’m really thankful to be featured on their site.
Aliyah, I think you’re what they call “the-bomb-diggety”. Thanks gals! Check out my interview after the jump or here.

I’m going to openly testify that you are able to purchase shoes that deserve coveting from seemingly cheesy stores. While Aldo and Feet First are brands that scream mass availability, I’m completely content with my menswear inspired boots and tall-whatever boots (I know, technical term that is). Thoughts and concerns? I know I have lurkers – delurk as a favour to me.
Happy Saturday folks!

In true lookbook.nu style (oh gah, I adore that website) I’ve titled this lyrics from a song. Snow Patrol that is, the concert that I’ve been yearning to back to. Regardless, it’s been five days (likely my longest dry spell in ages) since I’ve last posted and here I am again (publish Wayne, demands the people!)
My things are in a complete disarray again, I’ve learned that it’s important to simplifiy my life because things outside of your belongings are never ever simple. I’ve learned that my love for clothing is …
