Bold UK design strikes again – Motel Rocks is an indulgent, vibrant, fun loving and sultry brand that I came across in the past year. Their pieces are landing in stores all over – providing a boutique-like quality to their dresses, rompers, playsuits and other key items, but with the variety of a mass market store. Prints, patterns, blocks, pleats, mesh, a-line, cut outs…the options are ceaseless as each piece is an experimental play with colour and all of the above. Pictured above: The Motel Lydia Dress. A caged back, foil gold leaf patterned, a-line billowy skirt. Perfect with a waist belt to cinch it all together.
Pictured below: Grace Playsuit, a one piece bib neck polka dotted playsuit that’s light and child-hood reminiscent. Like? I love.

Part three – the bustier dress. It’s the summer staple (though it’s been a go-to style for awhile). This jersey grey bustier is a part of a light denim dress that brings casual character to a sweet summer day. Functional (pockets, oh, those pockets), yet with the right tinge of flare. A favourite.

Experimenting has never been something that I’m keen on shying away from. Same idea applies to white jeans – it’s an experiment. After acquiring these goods from GAP Canada (thank you), I’ve been porting them around like nobody’s business (especially in places like San Francisco, where the breeze calls for something a bit extra). Vintage. Comfort. Summer.

After a bit of a break (photos that I’ll be sharing soon from San Fran, LA, Vegas), I’ve started really thinking about what I want to be doing and how I want to go about it. I recently met a v. talented up and coming photog (Titus Chan) and we’re trying our hand at producing a few series for photographs.

Not much of a secret that I adore Blossom Lounge. Ever since my Q&A with Shauna from Blossom Lounge I’ve done an impressive frequenting of the Main Street, Unionville boutique. I’d swear a good majority of my nicer / more fun dresses are from there (like the one pictured above, from when I had attended a little something in Toronto called LG Fashion Week.
Click on the image above or here for the quick Q&A I did with them – much love!
