I glimpsed EZRA Constantine at the Greta Constantine show in Fall 2009 at un-fashion week. Welcome the new line – it’s the official launch for Spring/Summer 2010, shot by Mckenzie James. It’s dark, it’s gang-oriented (no, really), dark, hostile, contemporary, dark, utilitarian, and…dark. They call the pieces “pieces that form the uniform for the man of tomorrow”. I probably wouldn’t mind that if the wearer looked like these models.

Boys, thoughts?

Loving how dynamic the Canadian Fashion industry is – welcome newcomer The Red Carpet Room, a showroom which houses only veteran and emerging Canadian Designers, inclusive of womenswear, menswear, and accessories for public appearances, photoshoots, or luxe events. Founded by Amanda Brugel, the business is located at the Toronto Fashion Incubator, and the website is looking mightly slick.

Looking forward to seeing more, roll out the red carpet for …the Red Carpet Room.

To embrace my penchant for cuteness and colourful accessories, Dodo Designs chose the opportune time to approach my inbox so I could sift through all the goodies. Sushi, cherries, cupcakes – all solid patterns. Pretty pouches for all occasions (and don’t lie boys – I’m sure you have uses for pouches. But instead, if you’re antsy for one of these, get it for a girl so you’ll have something to smile at). Custom / unique patterns and fabrics are used to create these products of all sizes and varieties. And …

Noice – a blog / magazine playing host to an event, something that holds true to my heart. Happy Boxing Day with Format Magazine with up to 85% off streetwear oriented collections. Go, if only for the support of the Santa wearing 10deep.

If I had room in my wardrobe for more jeans, I’d jump on this (that is, if you’re not on the jeggings trend, which I’ll admit to succumbing to). Over the Rainbow is doing some sweet boxing day deals, here are some more deets:

THE DEALS:
50% off all seasonal DENIM styles (All week long LOTS TO CHOOSE FROM!)
30% off all FALL fashion items (men’s & women’s bargains!)
20% off regular stock denim & fashion (Boxing Day ONLY!! SAVE WHILE U CAN!)

I’ll be working away on boxing day – so I suggest you …

Products that turn heads is right – Up To You Toronto is “the shop above”, a downtown store that sells happy (there’s really no other way for me to describe it). They’re the anti-cookie cutter culture, unique buyers, and a dynamic duo (cheesy term, I know) that is Bill and Dimitra. And because we all love quotes:

“These days there is a need to offer people a genuine alternative to the normal same/same consumer environment.  I suppose if we don’t start to truly encourage & embrace individuality now, we’ll all be …

I’ve had some people up and around online that have wanted to put together a clothing swap, so here it is! Swapify Your Clothes – bring a bag or so of pieces that you know someone else will love. I know for myself, I’ve had a lot of issues with piling up clothes that I’ve worn once or twice (or sometimes even still have the tags) that could use a little swapping.

Proper Reserve is a new store in town that has so kindly offered up their space (holler!) for the …

Wow, so that title came out totally wrong, sorry. Regardless, Over the Rainbow is offering $35.00 (sweet) off their merch until Christmas Eve (but after that should come Boxing Day sales…right?)

Print out the above to get your $35 – and tell ‘em who sent you (big winks).

Blossom Lounge is one of my favourite hidden treasures (which I think, as a byproduct of all this talk of this store, is slowly becoming less hidden), tucked away in beautiful Mainstreet Unionville. Even moreso a favourite because of the always amazing and sweethearted owner of the boutique. This Saturday they’re having their Annual Winter Frost Shopping Event, where regular priced items are 25%, there’ll be $20, $30, and $40 sale racks, as well as $5-$20 sale baskets. All hearts – forget big pop up shops (you know what I’m …

This melts my heart. Danier Leather has produced one of the most beautiful, magical, delightful video to embrace their winter collection. So gorgeously created, that it would appear every single frame could be a perfect portrait.

The video spells out: textures, accessories, volume, and most importantly – stylish leathers.

Enjoy “Love at First Frost”.
