Oh how I just love products that can multitask! My most recent beauty experiment was test driving Dove’s Visibly Smooth anti-perspirant, which claims to help women not only stay dry and smelling good, but also minimize the appearance of the ever embarassing erm, stubble.

“Who is Dove Clinical Protection visibly smooth for? Women who are seeking beautiful, stubble-free underarms plus proven extra strength protection from wetness.”

While I’ve always been a sucker for all things Dove, I’ve also lately developed a fascination with what seems to be the newest “it” beauty craze du-jour of laser hair removal, so this seemed like just the right thing for me to try out. Although I initially said I’d give it 5 weeks, it actually only took 3 to win me over. As promised, Dove’s visibly smooth anti-perspirant kept me dry throughout my daily activities, even through the dreadful gym workouts. The scent – wild rose, in my case – lasted almost as long, however was a little too flowery for my liking. And as for the product’s promises? Let’s just say: check, check and check.

It’s safe to say that my faith in Dove products remains unchanged.

  • Very cool to hear that this product works! I love Dove antiperspirant and it’s the only brand I buy. Hope they put out a scent-less version though – rose and sweat doesn’t really smell great together :p

  • Thanks so much for the comment MizzJ! And right you are on the scented bit, could be a problem ;)

What someone should note is that these new ultimate Dove antiperspirant have a very high amount of aluminum in them. Although they might help with the order, they are also putting harmful toxins in our body.

Maybe you should do an article on some natural deodorants or methods.

Let’s start taking care of our bodies and stop recommending products that are extremely harmful for our bodies!

  • Hi Verve,

Thanks so much for sharing this information! Do you have any good places to start in terms of eco-friendly products?

    Cheers!

LUSH is a great place to start. However, if you go to any health food store, you can see their wide variety of deodorants and natural products.

Have you thought of writing about natural lipsticks, eye shadows or deodorants? :)

  • Hey Verve,

I love Lush! I actually used to write quite a bit more about them. This sounds like a great idea to feature natural products, where might I be able to learn more? Want to connect via email?

    Cheers,
