Summer, Summer, Summer. You couldn’t come quick enough. And what better way to remind me as such than with accessories that I wouldn’t be able to pull of in the wintertime. In comes Elaine Turner, master of beautiful shoes and bags, headquartered in Houston. What I adore most? That her collections are inspired by the Carribean vacations her family took when they were young.

After designing for an apparel brand in New York, Elaine co-founded her company with her husband Jim in 2000. Her goal was simple: to create attainable, fun fashion accessories that make women smile. “My main inspiration was to convey ‘my dreams’ through my product. I want my accessories to conjure images of travel, fantasy and escapism. Picture yourself lying on a private beach in the Caribbean, visiting a historic hotel in Europe, walking through a charming Provence garden, or buying artwork along the harbor in St. Tropez.”

There aren’t many other ways to spell out “inspiring”. Fun and stunning – might I dare call it funning? No. That wouldn’t do it justice.

Peek a few more below, my favourite of the bunch would be the Marilyn Raffia Clutch. Shop Elaine Turner’s collection here.
