Fight the box! You know what I mean – the unflattering, shapeless, awkwardly patterned ski jackets that tend to be on the market for ladies. Luckily I came across this one – a plain, perfect, belted wonder by Firefly (found at Athletes World and Sport Chek). Be not fooled by the 2d image of it on web, it really is a great jacket for the fashionista looking for a compromise when snowboarding. Fool proof (and was 20% off $169.99).

I am so not a ski jacket person. I am so not a ski person. But, I bought the BF a trip to Tremblant for Christmas and we’re going this weekend, so I had to gear up.
I bought a long black Oakley jacket with an asymmetrical band around the thighs under the bum and fur on the hood. I can’t find a link online. It’s super warm and I really like it. We’ll see how using it for something other than fashion works out this weekend! Heh.
I love this style. Doesn’t look like a sky jacket to me though.. of course its outside of the norm (ladies sky jackets)
