Riding boots have been in style since the beginning of time – but the good ones are so difficult to find. I’ve always come across the most perfect pairs on shopbop or on zappos, and the same story would always retell itself – they’re so expensive it makes me wince. Frye is a perfect example – they likely make the best equestrian style boots, but they seem to know it and capitalize on it (at about $400 a pair). Finding a perfect pair of black flat boots is hard – but once you find it, so well worth it!
Thanks Frye. Gaack, go on sale already.

Frye makes some very nice classic american footwear… tho sometimes their designs are too classic and can get boring, but no doubt they are awesome for their price/quality ratio
I think that most people have the impression that it’s just….cowboy boots. But they have other goodness too!
What you said is sooo true, the perfect boots are hard to find, especially for shorter people, like me! From the pics, this one definitely looks good, but with boots, you always gotta try ‘em on before you can decide.
Oh gosh, so expensive for the ones that I end up loving. The real challenge I find is getting the right boots, for the right price!
My secret: buying vintage shoes/boots. They’re INCREDIBLE!
