Givenchy – for many, the fragrance maker of choice. When the design house released Play with Justin Timberlake as the inspiration behind the fragrance and the face of the campaign, it only made sense: use this sexy, uber-talented singer/songwriter/actor with seemingly the most attractive, charismatic, playful personality to launch modern, chic, magnetic men’s fragrance. Perfect choice!
Two years later, enter Play for Her. Described as being for the woman who is naturally seductive, and can wear strong scents like Amyris wood (“candle wood” in the Caribbean) with ease. This is for the woman who commands attention and turns life into an adventure. The Play for Her woman is the compliment to the Play man.
With notes of pink peppercorn, white peach, bergamot, magnolia, and sweet pea, the eau de parfum is light and appealing, and not at all over-powering. It is the ideal everyday scent; strong enough to have others take notices, and light enough to draw (hopefully) the right person in for a closer scent.
As nice as the scent is, what gets the most snaps is the packaging. Oblong and pink with silver trim, at first glance, you could easily mistake it for a blinged out mp3 player. Simple and brilliant! And because the casing is a hard plastic, it’ll be the scent that comes with me everywhere.
The ad campaign for the fragrance features Timberlake and Canadian model Noot Seear from the latest Twilight film, New Moon. Here’s the long commercial and a li’l behind the scenes. Enjoy.
I found this post to be quite informative.I was unaware that this came out
during the whole Twilight saga.I also like the fact that it’s for bot men and women.
