How I fell back into the GAP…

Some images from GAP’s current “CLASSICS REDEFINED” campaign

I know what you’re thinking. The GAP? “That’s so 90’s” or “That’s so high school” you’re probably saying. Try for a minute to block out images of those huge GAP-emblazoned fleece hoodies that every other guy in grade 11 wore, and repay a visit to a GAP near you. I would argue that the brand has recently had a mini-turnaround, what with its abandonment of that washed-out khaki campaign; execution of a traditional GAP black and white, celebrity-filled “CLASSICS REDEFINED” campaign; and launch of its newly redesigned retail stores (think: glossy shots of navy). Best of all is the fact that the brand is finally embracing its true identity as the ultimate provider of wardrobe basics. In the past couple of weeks, I’ve picked up a couple cardigans, a brown over-sized “old man” sweater from the guy’s side, and a black cotton t-shirt dress. Take a chance and visit your neighbourhood GAP today : )

OK, you’ve convinced me. I just can’t get that horrible “the boyfriend pant” campaign out of my head. They looked like painter’s pants.
