To be honest, I’m still undecided about the HUDSON Jeans LouLou pant and here’s why: they’re described as ”the clothing equivalent of a glow stick – under black light the tuxedo strip glows brightly – transforming your outfit into art.”

While I can appreciate the idea of creating art out of fashion, I’m not sure how I would feel about looking like a walking glow stick (not to mention the headaches I would have trying to find something in my closet to match!). Nonetheless, I was incredibly intrigued at the idea and got quite a kick out of the promotional video for the jeans. Check it out below – it’s a flashy, vibrantly colourful, psychedelic wonder that does make the concept for the jeans seem pretty cool.

And just in case you happen to be in New York during Fashion Week (luck you), you can see it all come to life as HUDSON Jeans activates a “Phosphorescent Invasion” in the Meatpacking District on February 10th, which will include street art installations and video projections.
