So, yeah, just got a job there- I must say, the all-black dress code is hideous, and most women that come into the store always complain about how “awkward” the fit of the clothes are. Their manufacturing has issues- they should really check those out, I noticed some odd things- like in one style and one colour, there was a difference in the length of the shirt, however both were size S, and both shirts were fresh stock, so they couldn’t have been stretched by wear, the waists of two same style size 4 pants were also different- one was about 3 inches bigger than the other. and Noone comes into that store, and its located in a very busy mall. Hate to be so negative, but…

Hey,
I came to this blog through a google search on Jacob as well.
I work at Jacob in a pretty busy mall and I don’t agree with Lou’s comment about the clothing. I watch countless women try on clothes all day, and although some women don’t look good as good in the clothes as they would hope there isn’t a certain size of women prescribred for the clothing. The trick is knowing what style of clothing looks good on you and what aize you actually are… (don’t try and fit into a 4 if you’re typically a 10.)
Personally I’m a 10 or 12 and I am in love with the clothes. Of course I’m aroudn the clothes all the time so it’s hard not to want everything in the store… haha half my closet is from there.
but never hesistate to ask for help from the employees. I know, at my store atleast, the best part about our jobs is helping people put together outfits and get sizes for people… it’s a lot bettet than hanging up clothes people so lovingly toss inside out on the floor of the dressing room on their way out.

You’re right – they’re much about the average sizes, not necessarily a good fit for anything above or below. I’m more about their tops and sweaters more than anything else!

Jacob fit is for smaller sizes. Their clothes look best on women wearing 0-5/6. It’s unfortunate, but true. If you are thin figured, you will feel comfortable in most of the apparel. But, many pant styles and silk (or materials alike) tops fit horribly in all the wrong places, even if you are a 0.
