Jia You – WongFu T-Shirts

Jia You Wong Fu

It’s the NICE GUY Shirts – from WongFu Productions. If you haven’t heard of them, they’re an up and coming Asian production company. They’ve created some solid videos while I was in university – entertaining yet speak only truth about social commentary. “Jia You” or “Ga Yow” is definitely a university saying that stuck for me (this coming from the jooksingest girl around) – it means to “add oil”, which is a saying that Chinese invented regarding adding oil to make you go faster (though that doesn’t translate so well)

Point being, I love how they managed to throw it on a t-shirt and retail it online for $22.00, and have such a wonderfully devoted following.

Sized for guys, enjoy being a nice guy for once dudes!

Well, my little banana friend, while “you” is technically the same word for oil, as in cooking oil, it also means gasoline, so “add gas” or “step on the gas” makes a lot more sense. Chinese people write non-sensical things on clothing? I’ve never heard of such a thing!

hd right you are – I explained it in such a non explanatory way that it made me look jooksing to the max. my apologies – I did actually know of the pedal (for when people explain it, they do the awkward pedal motion)

    franks for the clarification

nice guys do finish last sometimes, but at least they finish? bad guys get the short end, in the end. shamwow!
