Holt Renfrew presented a collective to open up LG Fashion Week S/S 2011 with designers including Denis Gagnon, Jeremy Laing, Lida Baday, Line RUNWAY, Mikhael Kale (incredible), Pink Tartan, Smythe, Wayne Clark, and Wings + Horns. Really love that shows are going to that format inclusive of multiple designers, having multiple stories and looks collide only drives the exhilarating feeling of being there live. Loved it. Highlights were Smythe’s styling (though the socks and sandals still sadly irk me), Mikhael Kale’s powerful, aggressive dresses (nothing short of glittering materials in all the right places though), and Pink Tartan’s bright pops of colour (which I sadly missed the show for, meeps).
