NADA has become one of my most coveted labels.
All week Miss Chik had been telling me how great the show is supposed to be, and designer Nada Shepherd definitely did not disappoint. From the time the lights dimmed and the AMAZING Fritz Helder started their set, I could tell the show would be electric. I obviously wasn’t the only one feeling the vibe as the very large audience, including staples like Zoomer EIC Suzanne Boyd and model Stacy Mackenzie, erupted into applause at the first piece—a simple but obviously effective woven LBD worn over nude and black lace tights.
NADA’s looks conjured up the romanticism and infatuation Shepherd was going for, as enormous French rolls, lace, leather, and strings upon strings of pearls were used to punctuate the pieces.
My favourites have to be the blush-pink and grey overcoat with fitted bodice and billowing bottom, and the goth inspired black dresses with large cut-fabric skirts. Wearable? Maybe not, but simply gorgeous.
The rest of the collection though could take many women from day to evening with ease.

Wow, the designs are absolutely beautiful. Nada’s my favorite of them all. I wish I was there, thanks for the descriptions and photos!
Ps.I think anything can be wearable as long as you rock it with confidence!
Hey Carm,
