Flash Mob 2008

They say never to wear white after Labour Day. I say, abuse this rule while you can, and adorn yourself in that flowing, angelic shade.

And that’s exactly what FASHION Magazine did on one gloriously bright Saturday afternoon. Gathering a flock of all types (models, FASHION Editors, and just plain pretty people), the Flash Mob hit Yonge and Dundas Square Downtown Toronto to create a spectacle. With crisp white lanterns hung from above and a bevy of calm statuesque subjects, the event generated an incredible and artistic presence.

Check out some coverage here and here.

It was such a great event - and the weather was perfection! Thanks a ton for showing some love and showcasing the event in your blog. Of course, one of the best qualities of a flashmob is the reaction of the audience to the unusual behaviour.

At the FASHION FLASHMOB, we had a good crowd of Torontonians and tourists just stop what they were doing at one of the busiest intersections of downtown Toronto and spend five minutes taking in the still yet spectacular urban art installation. It was quite powerful.

There’s also a very well-done video of the event that can be found at http://www.fashionmagazine.com/video/June08/FMFlashMob/

Your blog is amazing! Keep up the fabulous work.

    Shine on,
    Marc
