Men’s F/W Footwear: The Guide

With colder days coming our way it’s time to put away the boat shoes, roll down the cuffed pants and put on some socks. It’s unpleasant to hear but hopefully the following footwear brands will give you something to look forward to and make the fall season bearable.

Vael Project is a freshly launched brand out of California with some solid f/w footwear. The brogue boot, reminds me of a hiking boot with details that you would usually find on dress shoes. I also recommend checking out the Deckard mid. I like to think of it as a winter version of the boat shoe. (vaelproject.com)

Being half french I had to include a French label on this list. Although I’m being a bit biased, I’m sure that you’ll agree with me when I say that the men’s shoes du moment coming out of France would have to be Repetto’s Zizi Homme. They’re really doing it right. These sleek shoes are available in patent leather, goatskin or distressed goatskin.

Rokin was named “shoe brand of the year” at Café Stora Modepris, which is Sweden’s only internationally acclaimed fashion award and it’s not hard to see why. Their belief in high quality craftsmanship and production makes for some unforgettable shoes. I’m sure that the crawler boot will interest some of you since it can help complete that lumberjack inspired outfit for fall. (rokinfootwear.com)

No shoe list would be complete without mentioning Common Projects. Their most famous shoe is probably the achilles, however this season they’ve added some fancier shoes to their line (while keeping their signature serial number). Oxfords are perfect for f/w and I’m sure that everyone will want to get their hands on the Common Projects interpretation of this shoe. Their ankle boots are my favourite shoes for this season but with Common Projects’ high price points I’ll have to save up for awhile before being seen with these on my feet. (commonprojects.com)
