Mischa Barton wants you to wear stuff on your head

Mischa Headbands

I’ve always admired Mischa Barton’s waif hippy type of stylings, she still seems really fresh faced and beautiful to me (despite her dwindling career in second rate movies and her half-hearted efforts at endorsing Keds). The newest news with her is her collaboration with Stacey Lapidus (a celebrity favoured accessories designer), with ghastly overpriced headbands. I love the look, but slightly appauled by the pricing (but what can you expect – some of them have pearls).

Gotta give her cred for trying I guess – franks but no franks!

No franks indeed: I would have assumed the kind of look she goes for isn’t supposed to be about money in the first place.

Either I’ve got Mischa wrong, or she’s misunderstood something else entirely.

These hippy headbands have been getting bashed left and right by fashion critics lately.

    They have become quite overdone.

I’m all for the style, but I’m thinking the futuristic-looking ones.

I *dare* you to wear one to work. If you do, I will buy you a coffee AND go the stink-a-teria myself to get it for you.

Mischa is all about the money these days – when they killed her character off the OC I’m pretty sure she lost her bread and butter (but uhm, not her green smoke money)

Shan – you’re totally right, I’m over the hippie headbands that Free People has been riding off of. It’s done – move on!

H-D – Maybe tomorrow! While it won’t have pearls and other wondrous things, it might look tacky and give you a chuckle or three :)

Stick-a-teria is no longer that stinky! Now what will we say when we come back from there?!
