Newspaper Style

The School Fashion Show is always reason to showcase your strange ideas. Donned in newspaper wear (ties, belts, purses, skirts, dresses, and bracelets), the Schulich School of Business Newspaper embraced the Kensington Market atmosphere with our wears. The boob flowers were a hit, the ties were admired we all had a dirty-fingerprint-ful good time.

What do you guys think? (PS - You should know which one I am!)

lol quiet you - I’ll have none of that! (: Although I do quite like your campus seeing as part of it’s attached to a mall

    I work near Ryerson….fuuuun times

  • Wayne said:

I love our campus as well… tho i hate the fact that our new business building is so far away from the meat of the campus… and more importantly the pub!

haha you schulich people are cool though, ive even teamed up with you guys at business case conferences in the past =P

hey a fellow b-schooler! what case conferences? it’s a small world, we probably have friends of friends …whose parents are friends with a daughter’s friend of mine. whatever. :)

lol yeah it is a small world… well i teamed up with you guys at jeux du commerce west 2006 in vancouver as “team ontario”. I’ve also been to a few Roundtable events where commerce societies from all universities across canada gather each year.

Hmm, I don’t really do the inter-school stuff, nor do I do JDC. damnit I have to get more involved.

I like to think of myself sometimes as the anti-bschooler, it keeps me sane!

  • Wayne said:

events like JDC are good fun, aside from the academic component theyre really just an excuse to party, drink, and network =)

i took a break from all the extra-cirricular shiznit this year tho, wanted my last school term to be smooth sailing.

oh goodness - I’m last year last semester too! Can’t wait to either get into the workforce or travel. Either is fine! I can’t believe how low my motivation is right now…

  • Wayne said:

oh word. If you have the funds to travel its now or never =) I unfortunately need to work =( I’m hoping to secure something by May, then I’m gonna take a one week trip to some hot island and then work my ass off when I come back haha.

  • ThatGirl (author) said:

whoops sorry it took me so long to respond - working friday+saturdays all day does that to you!

DO IT. I want to get away for two weeks to somewhere halfway across the world, then work and make all the money I blow back.

Hot Island = don’t cheap out!

  • Wayne said:

if i had 4-5 grand to blow id definitely go to japan the land of fashion and sashimi, but unfortunately I dont haha. Think its now between Cancun or Cuba.

  • ThatGirl (author) said:

Oh boo, Cancun or Cuba scream “student” - live life extravagantly haha

  • Wayne said:

hey! hey! its the last time ill get to have stupid drunk fun with all my university buddies before stepping into the realm of adulthood =)

Once I stack up enough funds, within the next few years I’ll hit up Japan, Taiwan, and go backpacking through western europe.
