PSALMS x Zimele

We’re so ecstatic to be supporting PSALMSxZimele, a new initiative to support and empower women in South Africa. Zimele means “to stand on your own two feet”, aims to empower and heal people living in poverty through programs and education on self sustainability.

UB has absolutely loved Psalms 91:1 for ages – not just for their incredible jewelry, but for their genuine spirit and purpose behind it. Founder Sally Han has always remained true to her purpose, and in using fashion as a function of helping and guiding others. I was personally so taken with learning about the program and collection, that I had to contribute. So we’re proud to say that we’re a SPONSOR! And with that, we’re giving away (2) tickets to the event (for a pair), coming up on March 9th.

The invites are fantastic – a seed bracelet from the Zimele women, exclusively for Psalms. Details:

Though simple, this bracelet features a very special seed called “Job’s Tears” which is indigenous to the rural areas of KwaZulu-Natal, home of the Zimele communities. Refined and hand crafted by the women of Zimele, Job’s Tears represent the struggles and realities of poverty over generations that are now being overcome by the very women themselves.
