I remember the Melie Bianco craze that arose from Laguna Beach – Lauren Conrad’s knotted white convertible hobo bag was the it bag of the season…three years ago. 2004 was the year of the beach-bum teenie bopper, and I wanted to get in on it.
I managed to get my hands on one of the coveted bags that year. Cleaning up my closet this year really opened my eyes to how quickly a craze is over – the poor unloved and awkwardly shaped bag resurfaced and I have absolutely no desire to wear it ever again.
Whatever happened to Melie Bianco?
I think you have worn it too often and now you’re just plain sick of it! I feel the same way, once I have moved a handbag to the back of my closet I don’t seem to want to pick it up again and finally bring it to the Good Will store. The Melie Bianco Laguna Beach bag is still a coveted handbag in 2009, and it probably won’t go away as long as there are ladies that heart it!
