I remember the Melie Bianco craze that arose from Laguna Beach - Lauren Conrad’s knotted white convertible hobo bag was the it bag of the season…three years ago. 2004 was the year of the beach-bum teenie bopper, and I wanted to get in on it.

I managed to get my hands on one of the coveted bags that year. Cleaning up my closet this year really opened my eyes to how quickly a craze is over - the poor unloved and awkwardly shaped bag resurfaced and I have absolutely no desire to wear it ever again.
