I met Cristina Sabaiduc through the v.amazing Michelle Reagan (@MichelleEReagan on Twitter). After a candid mention that I had missed the FAT casting call for models, it came about that Romadin was looking for some girls to walk and show off the amazing art-to-wear clothing. Having just been at Mass Exodus two weeks ago, I was eager for an up close with pieces from the graduating class. Romandin is a combination of Romance and Industrial elements. The line is a gorgeous mix of hand-detailed wearable art (with materials like caulking and chicken wire to recycled cloth scraps from Cristina’s past fashion ventures).

Toronto Alternative Fashion Week has opened up for viewers and fans – Romandin is showing on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 10:30pm. The invitation (with squinty text) is below – get your tickets to watching wearable art sashay down the runway, and me trying not to try amidst all the cameras and fashion folks’ presence. This’ll be an experience! Thanks so much to Cristina and Michelle for letting me take part in the showing, xo, Toronto!
