Those who know me well, know that the #1 complaint I have during the wintertime is my feet always being cold, which is why I tend to invest a lot in keeping them warm. Luckily, winter’s been pretty mild so far, but I do have a feeling all this is going to change very soon, so i’ve been doing my annual research on the best winter boots. One brand that’s slowly winning me over is SOREL boots, with their fashionable styles and promise of waterproof warmth. Here’s a rundown of some of the different pairs i’ve been contemplating:

1. Tofino (in chilli pepper/black) – $199.99: The look is classic SOREL, with a waterproof sneaker-like shell on the bottom, a quilted upper made of waxed canvas (also waterproof!) with a durable leather shell, and topped off with faux fur. My fav. part? The colour! This little red number stands out and manages to pull off a look that’s stylish and comfortable.

2. SOREL 88 (in white) – $199.99: Inspired by an arctic exploration boot, so you know it’s got to be warm. The boot’s made up  of a thick, water AND wind resistant felt lining that keeps in the warmth, a cushy PU midsole that keeps an insulating layer between you and the ground, topped off with an adjustable drawstring cuff. Don’t think there’ll be much complaining coming from me in these badboys!

3. Cool Canvas Wedge (in brown) – $299.99: A stylish boot that gives a little height for a more polished look. Made up of premium leather and water-repellant waxed canvas,  it’s accessorized with a leather buckle at the cuff and a full side zip to make slipping it on and off over your jeans or leggings a breeze. The perfect boot for trotting around the cold city.
