Well, I had too much fun a the Jessica Jensen S/S 2012 preview. Bright brights and subdued tones labelled “mushroom” and are appreciated for their understated nature. Beautiful pebbled leathers, patent textures. I was able to take a brief gander at the gorgeous items soon to be available on The Shopping Channel with all beautiful traits of Jessica Jensen‘s signature bests. High quality products finished in Asia, this humble Canadian designer brings you the finest for your electronics and every day bags to slug over your sides.
My favourites? I’m keeled over with excitement about the Jackie and Melissa handbags. Structured, simple, perfect for a professional setting.
Thank you so much for the walk through from the ever lovely Jessica herself as well as Nadine. Also a wave hello to Andie from rock-it. Mild sorry’s for the funky noise produced by my iPhone photos *slap on the wrist, view more photos in the gallery below and on WWW.SHOPJESSICAJENSEN.COM. Can’t wait to pick my own up!

What I love most about Jessica Jensen handbags are that they’re elegantly understated. They won’t overshadow an outfit or steal attention away from it – instead, they’ll nicely compliment what you wear (and isn’t that what accessories are truly meant to do anyways?)
The Canadian handbag maven is launching a new collection for 2012, which includes three distinct groups: Collection Classics, Metropolitan Metallics and Urban Basics. The styles are simple and the colours neutral, so they easily work into any outfit.
My pick out of the bunch? The metallic woven leather handbag in a rich brown. It’s exactly the type of purse I picture myself wearing when i’m trying to pull off a more sophisticated version of me (a.k.a. when I’m going to work).

One particular word was repeated over and over at the Jessica Jensen + Alexander Berardi show: pretty. The show was pretty, and wearable, and made me miss and wish for spring. This season’s show was a collabo with New York designer Alexander Berardi who provided gorgeous pieces that complimented Jensen’s handbags so incredibly well, you’d think the two were always a team. I’m a sucker for glitz so his gold dress with the cowl neck and the gold bolero pants were definite faves; however, I’d make room in my closet for the flirty frocks that would fit in well at any garden party.
As usual, Jensen’s bags were perfect for any occasion and like any statement bag, could be seen anywhere from the beach to an urban landscape. Jensen’s 2011 collection completely warrants her being nicknamed Toronto’s Handbag Queen.

A mysterious package welcomed me home yesterday, a glimpse of the return address made my heart skip a beat. Lo and behold, a slick and beautifully crisp box awaited opening.
A little surprise was nestled inside delicate tissue paper. Lavender. Leather. Lined Paper. Love.
Thank you Jessica and TAT!

Jessica Jensen is a fantastic bag designer. Her pieces have stunning textures, weaves, waves, and more. What’s more is that she’s extended her great eye to encompass six pieces in a capsule collection made of cotton sateen. Romantic and hazy imagery has my heart sold on her beautiful dresses.
Looking for a price list? See these images here. Jessica Jensen’s been a busy one, with an event prior to fashion week, involvement in Shadowbox, and upcoming holiday sale (November 6 + 7 at the Gladstone Hotel, up to 75% off). An early start on Christmas shopping anyone?
