Hello Urbanebloc readers!
I know that we’ve been very bad bloggers (tsk tsk). Between crazy work projects (boring) and road trips across the west coast (exciting!), we have been sort, kind of, neglecting the blog. So to say we’re sorry, we have a giveaway!
[3] lucky Urbanebloc readers will win a pair of tickets for The Clothing Show taking place at Exhibition Place from May 27 – 29th. For those who aren’t familiar, the show has over 300 booths featuring clothing and accessories from local Canadian designers and vintage collections.
Want to win? Here are a couple ways:
1. Tweet us: “Hey @urbanebloc, I want to go to The Clothing Show because ___________________. #clothingshow”
2. Visit us on Facebook and leave a comment telling us why you’d love to attend.
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. The winners will be announced on May 25th, so be sure tweet or Facebook us before then.
Shop Bicyclette is an online boutique, whose owner I met at The Clothing Show not too long ago. I snagged a great dress from her collective by Dolce Vita, which I was snapped in by FLARE Magazine at the Phillip Sparks Show (phew, what a mouthful of links). Her pop-up shop is returning before the holidays, be sure to stop by and see what kinds of delights you can find (a rarity!)
Whether customers are looking for the perfect party dress, putting together a chalet chic ensemble, or filling the wishlists of others, we have them covered. Featuring local designers including Lauren Elan Collections (www.laurenelan.com), Biko Jewellery (www.ilovebiko.com), ScarfParty (www.scarfparty.ca), DaLish Cosmetics (www.dalishcosmetics.com), DENJ (www.etsy.com/shop/denj), Hart Boutique (www.hartboutique.com) and more.
Shop by and stay awhile.
May’s come around again – and with the flowers comes the spring/summer edition of The Clothing Show. Each time the show comes around I find myself merrily perusing through the different aisles in search for a new assortment of finds and local talents. After all, it’s where I first came across miss Butikofer. Want tickets? As the official town crier for urbanebloc.com, I’ve just got to shout out:

To embrace my penchant for cuteness and colourful accessories, Dodo Designs chose the opportune time to approach my inbox so I could sift through all the goodies. Sushi, cherries, cupcakes – all solid patterns. Pretty pouches for all occasions (and don’t lie boys – I’m sure you have uses for pouches. But instead, if you’re antsy for one of these, get it for a girl so you’ll have something to smile at). Custom / unique patterns and fabrics are used to create these products of all sizes and varieties. And for you business folks, there’s also a card holder available.
