Thank you so much to everyone that came out to support all the artists and THE PEEK. The night was a fantastique time, great people around constantly. The best part was bumping into people from the past (or that I haven’t seen in ages and a half).

It was a night of relishing in great Toronto talent, and being amazed time and time again by the people that came in the door. Special thanks to: Danielle, Angie, Astrid, Skanwar, Shan, Jesse, Sheldon, Edmond, Jon (for taking sweet videos uploaded to YouTube) and Chris Poole for all your help.

It was so touching to see people visit and tell me that that they like what I’m doing and that they care enough to take the time and walk into an alleyway where the studio was hiding.

Hey Folks! So I keep yammering on about THE PEEK, but it’s tomorrow and bound to be a good gathering. A lot of people from all over have been telling me that they’ll be coming and they’re excited to see the art in store. Oh, and THE EATONS are playing at 8pm and 10pm (with the trusty help of our favourite sound guy, Chris Poole).

I’m blogging this out furiously within the 10 minutes that I’m home before I jetset downtown with the amazing prints from JWU that I got done at Art and Laminate (the guy there is hella cool and does a great job).

What’s more? I was unable to attend the blo bar media event today, but Hilary from blo was so generous to offer to get my hair BLOwn for THE PEEK tomorrow. So expect a good post after tomorrow about their services and my experience with them.

Thank you thank you all for the support, after this event the summer of creation begins. I never realized that people weren’t really aware of my designerly-ness, so I want to show you guys that I’m not just a girl that overlays arial bold over all her images ;)

Friendly note – I’m going to be AWOL for a bit this week because of THE PEEK (check it out if you haven’t already)! We’re working hard to pull together a good event, should be swell times.

So I tried to do a vlog for you guys but my computer has been funking out and I’m going to presume that a shotty-noised-out (intentionally of course) webcam photo should suffice. It will.

Cleverly coining new phrases is what I’m all about. Though if you don’t find this even the slightest bit clever I can definitely accept that as well. I just really like alliteration to be honest, that’s where all the c’s came into play.

Truth is, I have been swamped this last little while. Swamped with either figuring out what my next steps are, what I’m doing now and how to do it better, event planning, and working two jobs (until end of last week, phew).

I’ve come back renewed. I know where I want to take mon career, I’m coming to terms of with the things that I’ve done in the last year (which by the by, I am completely going to summarize for myself in an upcoming birthday-esque post), and I know what skills and morsels of talent that I want to hone.

I want to be the creator of something great. I want to be an originator of art and content. And I’m looking to urbanebloc.com to help me channel that.

Watch out world, the soon-to-be-23 is coming.

It’s called “straight-goodness”, as in it’s just straight good. Get excited about this event, it’s the second PEEK, and we’re mixing it up a little by teaming up with the guys of MANIFESTO.
