Ever since I watched “My Sassy Girl” in college I envied the flawless faces of Korean drama stars. They woke up with perfect skin, void of freckles, redness or imperfections. It wasn’t long after that I discovered BB Cream but it wasn’t until I was living in Japan did I get into it. Nowadays, it’s as essential to my daily primping routine as my whitening toothpaste.
Although BB creams made a name for themselves in Asia, they weren’t originally made for the eastern market. “Blemish Balm” was invented by German doctor Christine Schrammek in 1967 as a solution to the skin sensitivities post-laser surgery patients face. The premise was simple; instead of layering on the products – toner, serum, zit creams, moisturizers, foundation, concealer, wrinkle cream, sunscreen, etc… why not use one?

If you haven’t yet realized (this is a shout out to all you Google Readers out there), urbanebloc.com has been redesigned. It’s all smiles for miles as you’ll notice the new features of the site:
Enjoy (for now) – as there’s more meat coming (yom).
Send your love also to Veronica Wong (V) – http://veronicawong.ca/. She’s kind of extremely awesometown.

My oh my how the days have passed all too quickly. It’s a rarity for me to leave this blog for so long (5 days time), and I’m abashed to say. I’ll be posting a Christmas / holiday related message soon, but hopefully you’ve noticed a little bit of a change.
urbanebloc.com is different. Very different.
Next year will be nearing my 4th year in running this blog, and I’m so proud and content with how far it’s come. I have four amazing editors that are going to be bringing you some incredible articles, reviews, profiles, and more. We’re going to change. We’re going to evolve. And we’re going to ask you to help us get better and produce things that you want to read. Because we like your eyeballs.
Happy Holidays and End-Of-2010. 2011′s going to be a doozy.
Pardon the Appearance as we’re doing a little reorganizing over the holidays. In the new year you’ll start to see more unique content, a fresh-dope-fly redesign, and more video segments (whoa). I’m going to go ahead and promise everything and hope you see more urbane-y goodness, because rest assured, it’s more than coming.
Boom. Excited. See you soon.
