If I didn’t mention previously, the lull was due to being in Vancouver again for 2010 (oo, a little rhyming action). Lucky me got to tag along with Miss LMC to attend some great events and eat at some great places for the upcoming SCION Magazine (oui, the car is indeed heading for Canada in the early fall). Mucho excited I am, as I was able to do some writing (first love), eating (the second) and photo-taking (the third). More on the happenings of Van city to come. Swag and Tarts, here we come!
Why, I’m on the lovely west coast once again thanks to a very wonderful writing gig. Stay connected, I’m surely still here (just more active than ever)
It’s one thing to do what you love on a daily basis. It’s quite another to do what you love and incorporate socially and ecologically sound choices into your work. It’s something else entirely to do all of the above and be recognized and rewarded.
We here at urbanebloc want to send a big CONGRATULATIONS to Nicole Bridger, one of fifteen Canadian designers nominated by Fashion Takes Action for a 2010 Sustainable Fashion Award. The award honours the most influential and forward thinking designers who use sustainable and ethical eco choices for their lines.
If you’ve ever come across Nicole Bridger you know she is nothing short of deserving. Comfy separates, and feminine, flattering dresses created from linen, soy, organic cotton, and other natural and renewable resources make up the Vancouver based line that tries to spread harmony with each wear (the phrase ‘I am love’ is marked in each piece of clothing).
You have a few weeks to vote for Nicole Bridger at www.fashiontakesaction.com before the top 3 finalists face off in front of a select jury for the chance at a prize package worth over $70,000!!
Take a peek at the loveliness that is Nicole Bridger right here: www.nicolebridger.com
