On October the 19th, 2007, the Great Wall of China hosted a monumental occasion - the first ever Fashion Show situated on the ancient wonder of the world. Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi hosted an extravagant affair on the Great Wall, displaying 50’s style dresses and fur coats on a 1,500+ miles runway. The show saw the faces of celebrities in the audience such as Thandie Newton and Kate Bosworth. Ending off the night was China’s own supermodel, Du Juan (an Asian beauty with a distinct look). I’d have to say that I would think the event was tacky and disrespectful by hosting it on the Beijing attraction, but ending it off with a Chinese Supermodel seemed tastefully done.
