Though the prominence of glitter, sequins and anything metallic has been a fashionista staple for years now, I’ve only recently jumped on the bandwagon. Previously concerned about being too flashy, looking too obnoxious, or attracting too much attention, I’ve finally embraced this long-term trend. How many sequined things do I have in my wardrobe? Too many, and too unwilling to count.

This drapey Topshop cardigan-type thing fits my clothing requirements perfectly. Not only does it resemble tinfoil (my favourite!), but it’s also easy to layer and dress down (if need be). I wore this outfit to my friend’s birthday brunch at ‘Wish Restaurant’ at Yonge and Charles where I feasted on grilled cheese, bacon, and abnormally hot potatoes. In combination with these weird crushed velvet boots I must admit I got a few judging glances, but with a stomach full of my favourite things, how could I complain?
